Metrics Works Columbus (MWC) was started with a $3500 turning machine to help one of its lighting customers with some heat sinks in 2016. Since then, it has added 3D printing machines as well as some large routers and a set of manual machines to enable low volume and prototyping machining requirements. MWC also does a lot of repacking, quality inspections, scanning, and other engineering services for a variety of customers in the lighting, automotive, industrial, electrical, and agriculture industries.
MWC also provides 3PL services with full inventory storage and JIT / Kanban shipments to customers in Midwest. MWC has a full CMM capability to inspect parts, scan parts and provide quality inspection services.
MWC is planning to expand into parts washing, sandblasting, and potentially powder coating in the future.
